Smash Mouth Concert to Kick Off Placer County Fair

The band will perform in Roseville June 21.

You’ve probably hear their songs: “I’m a Believer,” “All Star,” “Walkin’ on the Sun” and some of their other hits on the radio and in movies. But soon you’ll have a chance to hear Smash Mouth live on stage in Roseville.

Smash Mouth will perform at the infield June 21 to kick off the Placer County Fair.

Placer County Fair manager John Javidan said that Smash Mouth’s fun attitude will be a "great atmosphere for the Placer County Fair. We are in the business of creating fun for our visitors. The outdoor concert will be a huge kick-off for four days of family fun at the Fair."

Collectively, the band Smash Mouth has sold more than 10 million albums worldwide. Their music has found its way into numerous movies and television series from “Shrek” to “Dr. Seuss” to “Scooby Doo” and recently “Diary of A Wimpy Kid.”

Gates will open at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 21.  Tickets are $20 general admission and include admission to the fair. Tickets will be available online and at the gate, if available.

The Placer County Fair, in Roseville, is slated for June 21-24. Other grandstand events include mixed martial arts on Friday night, NASCAR racing on Saturday night, and an Enduro Race on Sunday. Visit www.PlacerCountyFair.org for fair, event, and carnival tickets.
