Work on the Town Square and Downtown infrastructure upgrades continues.
Over the next couple of months the focus of the Town Square project will be on demolition and grading. This work sets the stage for all of the additions to the Downtown’s newest public gathering space.
Additionally, over 7,000 feet of waterline is being installed throughout Downtown Roseville. Taylor Street improvements, which include waterline upgrades, storm drain improvements, and a limited amount of landscaping, are currently taking place.
We’ve created a new downtown webpage for construction updates, news, and events. On the page, you’ll find a link to a live web camera view of the construction going on in the Town Square. It’s easy to keep track of things going on in Downtown.
Downtown Animation Festival for the Kid in All of Us
Animation fans of all ages should all find something of interest at the first Roseville Festival of Animation. Presented by Stand Out Talent, the festival will take place at the Tower Theater, 417 Vernon Street, from September 28-30. Activities include world-class animation, panel discussions, hands-on workshops, receptions, and a closing party.
In addition to hours of top-notch animation, attendees will have opportunities to build flip cartoons and zoetropes; attend professional presentations on CGI and 3D rendering; and view exhibits of artwork and for sale items. Panel discussions will feature animation professionals from industry icons such as Marvel and Pixar as well independent filmmakers and artists discussing completing projects on much smaller budget.
Jason Bortz, Stand Out Talent’s Media Director: "We are excited and privileged to be a part of presenting the world of Animation to the Roseville community… and enthusiastic about the programming; from a hands-on experience for children to Looney Tunes to Spike and Mike, we're sure there's something for everyone."
