For fans, we have good news: the sports bar is expected to stay open through the first of the year.
“We’re open and ready for business,” Bunz & Comany owner Julie Sweet said Friday afternoon.
At the start of October, Sweet said the business sold and could close within the month. But that deal fell through, Sweet said, and Bunz & Company is still open in Roseville. Sweet said she’s unsure of what’s in store for the business for 2012 because it is up for sale. But until then, “We’re still here,” Sweet said.
Just in time for football season.
Sweet said with 17 television sets, they’ll be playing every football game this season.
Bunz & Company is the namesake of Dan Bunz, a Roseville native and former San Francisco 49er. For about 12 years, Julie and her husband Jim Sweet have owned the popular beer and burger spot, according to an article in the Roseville Press Tribune on the eatery's 25-year celebration.
