Catalytic Converter Thefts:

Between 6 p.m. Aug. 11 and 2 p.m. Aug. 12, someone stole the catalytic converter from a Toyota Tundra pickup parked on Wordsworth Court.

Between 9 a.m. Aug. 12 and 9 a.m. Aug. 13, someone stole the catalytic converter from a Toyota Tundra pickup parked in the 1500 block of Dickinson Drive.

At about 4 a.m. Aug.13, someone in the Mistywood neighborhood heard a loud noise outside her home. At 5:30 a.m. a neighbor's car alarm went off, and an unknown male was seen standing in the driveway.  Another male was seen sitting in a dark-colored Toyota sedan across the street. When the alarm went off, the male who had been standing in the driveway fled on foot toward Mistywood Drive. No one called police. About three hours later, the resident discovered that two catalytic converters had been stolen from her Toyota Sequoia SUV.

Between 8 p.m. Aug. 13 and 7 a.m. Aug. 14, someone stole the catalytic converter from a Toyota Tundra pickup parked in the 1900 block of Santa Inez Street.

Between 8 p.m. Aug. 14 and 6:15 a.m. Aug. 15, someone stole the catalytic converter from a Toyota Tundra pickup parked in the 1800 block of Santa Inez Street.

Sunday, Aug. 12

Between 3 and 7:30 p.m. Aug. 12, someone scratched the paint and wrote obscenities on a vehicle parked at 1900 South Cirby Way.

Between 8 and 8:45 p.m. Aug. 12, someone stole an unsecured generator from the bed of a pickup in the 300 block of North Sunrise Avenue.

Monday, Aug. 13

Overnight Aug.13/14, someone forced the lock of a vehicle in the 2200 block of McLaren Drive and took loose change and video games.

Between 7:30 p.m. Aug. 13 and 7:30 a.m. Aug. 15, someone forced the lock of a van parked in the 800 block of Gibson Drive and took power tools.

Tuesday, Aug. 14

Overnight Aug. 14/15, someone broke the window of a car parked at a church in the 1400 block of Junction Blvd. and stole a wallet that had been left on the floorboard. The wallet contained the victim's ID and bank cards.

Wednesday, Aug. 15

Between 6 and 10 a.m. Aug. 15, someone smashed the window of a car parked in a store parking lot in the 6700 block of Stanford Ranch Road. Nothing was taken from the vehicle.

Between 12:45 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. Aug.15, someone rummaged through an unlocked vehicle parked in the Creekside Shopping Center, opened the trunk and took a shopping bag of newly purchased merchandise.

Between noon and 4:30 p.m. Aug. 15, someone stole a white 2004 Dodge Ram pickup from a parking lot at 1600 Eureka Road. The Sacramento Police Department found the pickup, damaged and unoccupied, on Aug. 16.

Overnight Aug. 15/16, someone stole the tailgate from a silver Toyota Tacoma pickup parked at an apartment complex at 1751 E. Roseville Parkway.

Thursday, Aug. 16

Vehicle tampering: At 11:27 a.m. Aug. 16, a local resident saw a male standing next to his vehicle in the parking lot of a grocery store in the 1000 block of Sunrise Avenue. The resident used his key to sound his vehicle horn and ran toward his car, and the suspicious male got into a gray Toyota Matrix sedan and sped away. The resident's vehicle door lock had been tampered with.

Between 9 p.m. Aug. 16 and 6:30 a.m. Aug. 17, someone rummaged through two unlocked pickups in the 2200 block of Longview Drive and took a portable Garmin GPS device, a flashlight and a vehicle owner's manual.

Friday, Aug. 17

Between 8 p.m. Aug. 17 and 11 a.m. Aug. 18, someone stole a black 1991 Honda Accord two-door sedan from Marcia Way.

Saturday, Aug. 18

At about 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, a resident parked her car on La Croix Drive, next to Olympus Park, and went to play with her daughter in the park about a hundred feet away, leaving her purse on the front passenger seat covered up by books. When she returned to her car 15 minutes later she found her passenger-side window shattered and her purse, with her ID and bank cards gone.

Sunday, Aug. 19

At 3:34 p.m. Aug. 19, an officer checked a vehicle parked in the 100 block of Bulen Street, and found it had been stolen from San Diego in July. He also found property in the vehicle that had been taken during a vehicle burglary in La Jolla in June. The driver of the stolen vehicle, a 51-year-old Roseville resident, was arrested on suspicion of auto theft and possession of stolen property.

Monday, Aug. 20

Between 9:45 and 10:45 p.m. Aug. 20, several vehicles were broken into in the lot of fitness centers in the 5000 and 5100 blocks of Foothills Blvd. A possible suspect seen in the area was described as a black male in his late teens, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black basketball shorts, associated with a white 1990s-model Cadillac sedan. Wallets, cell phones and other valuable items were taken.
