Crime Watch: Street Racing, AC Thefts, Suspicious Man

A roundup of crime June 24 through July 3 from the Roseville Police Department.

Street Racing Arrests - Four young male drivers were arrested following two separate street races in Roseville during the evenings of July 2 and 3. One of the races occurred on Woodcreek Oaks Boulevard near Impressionist Loop, where found two drivers reaching 85 mph, according to the Roseville Police report. The other race occurred on North Sunrise Avenue.

The two races resulted in the arrest of four young males and the impoundment of their vehicles.

Golfing Complaints - Roseville Police received several complaints of people playing golf at , damaging the turf and maintenance equipment. It's against the law to play or practice golf in any city park, other than the designated golf courses.

Air Conditioning Thefts - Two air conditioning units were stolen from homes under construction between June 24-27 on Rockcliff Court.

Stolen Catalytic Converters - At least three catalytic converter thefts were reported between June 30 and July 2. Two thefts were reported June 30, one stolen from a Toyota truck in the Home Depot parking lot on N. Sunrise Avenue and the other from a Toyota 4Runner at on Taylor Road. A third catalytic converter theft was reported on July 2 on Stanford Ranch Road, stolen also from a Toyota 4Runner.

Suspicious Man - Around 1 p.m. on July 1, a white male in his 50s or 60s, heavyset and balding, with a full beard, driving a newer tan or gold Chevrolet pickup stopped near two children who were playing outside in the 7600 block of Belle Rose Circle. According to Roseville Police, the man asked the children for help finding his lost dog. The children's mother approached, and the stranger drove away.
