Roseville Crime Report: Garage, Car and Parking Lot Thefts Reported

The following police blotter report was distributed by the City of Roseville: 


Police Beat 1
Northeast Roseville

Olympus Pointe, attempted vehicle break-in: Overnight November 21/22, someone pried and damaged the door of a van in the 3100 block of Calypso Lane, but didn't get in.

Olympus Pointe, thief shopping around: Overnight November 25/26, someone rummaged through an unlocked SUV in the 1700 block of Melanzane Drive. Nothing was taken.

Galleria/Harding, burglary: Between 8:35 and 9:45 p.m. November 25, someone got into a car in the 700 block of Gibson Drive by unknown means and stole a golf bag and set of golf clubs and a garage door opener. The burglar then used the garage door opener to open the garage and steal hand tools. Most of the stolen items were found discarded in a nearby dumpster.

East Roseville Parkway, trailer stolen: Overnight November 26/27, someone stole a black and white Hallmark cargo trailer from the 1900 block of Taylor Road.

Galleria, vehicle burglary: Between 12:20 and 2:15 p.m. November 29, someone broke the window of an SUV in the parking lot of the Galleria and stole a laptop, printer and other electronic items, and a purse.

Creekside, burglary: Overnight November 24/25, someone forced entry into an apartment in the 1200 block of Antelope Creek through a rear slider while the resident was away, and stole TVs, a laptop and stereo equipment.

Creekside, vehicle burglary: Overnight November 24/25, someone pried and broke the window of an SUV parked at a hotel on Creekside Ridge Court, and stole newly purchased housewares, toys and clothing.

East Roseville

Johnson Ranch, vandalism: Overnight November 29/30, someone broke the window of an SUV in the 3000 block of Tilden Drive. Nothing was taken.

Johnson Ranch, theft: Overnight November 29/30, someone stole unsecured lawn maintenance tools from the back of a pickup in the 1800 block of Eureka Road.

Maidu, thief shopping around: Overnight November 25/26, someone rummaged through a possibly unlocked pickup in the 1500 block of Lariat Loop and moved items around. Nothing was taken.

Sierra Gardens, vehicle burglary: Between 8 and 9:10 a.m. November 30, someone broke the window of a car in the 700 block of Sunrise Avenue and stole a purse containing cash, ID and credit cards.

 

Police Beat 3 
Central Roseville, south of the tracks

Cirbyside, burglary attempt: At 10:24 p.m. November 28, officers responded to an alarm at a house in the 1000 block of Kensington Drive, and found that someone had kicked the front door open. The would-be burglar didn't go inside, and may have been scared off by the audible burglar alarm.

Cirbyside, burglary: At about 11:45 a.m. December 2, officers resopnded to a report of a burglary in progress in the 1100 block of Coral Way. Two men were seen kicking open the front door and going into the residence, taking jewelry. One of the suspects was described as a white male, about 35 years old, wtih brown hair, wearing a blue shirt, blue jeans and gloves. He was seen getting into a red older model SUV with chrome on the rear bumper. A white sedan was also seen in the area at the time of the burglary.

Cresthaven, vandalism: At about 3:50 a.m. November 25, someone threw a rock through the window of a store in the 100 block of Cirby Way.

 

Police Beat 4 
Central Roseville, north of the tracks

Roseville Heights, burglary: At 5:40 a.m. November 29, a man pried open the door of a technology business in the 300 block of Lincoln Street and stole six laptop computers. See the attached surveillance picture--if he looks familiar, give us a call.

Roseville Heights, fight: At about 9:30 p.m. November 29, officers responded to a large fight in the 200 block of Ivy Street, and found that several subjects had tried to break into an occupied apartment, threatening bodily harm to the residents inside. The residents and some of the suspects were acquainted with each other. No one was injured. Officers arrested seven people for attempted burglary, conspiracy and other related charges.

Kaseberg-Kingswood, burglary: Between November 20-25, someone burglarized a vacant house in the 1300 block of Harrison Drive. Appliances and fixtures were taken.

Kaseberg-Kingswood, vehicle theft: Between 8 and 11 p.m. November 29, someone stole a white Chevy Suburban from Brill Court.

 

Police Beat 5 
North Central Roseville

Foothills-Junction, burglary: At about 6:30 a.m. November 30, someone got into a portable classroom at Silverado Middle School and sprayed a fire extinguisher around. Nothing was reported to have been taken.

Highland Reserve, vehicle burglary: Overnight November 28/29, someone got into a locked pickup on Chip Shot Court by unknown means and stole a tool bag containing miscellaneous hand tools.

Stanford, vehicle burglary: Between 6:30 and 10:30 p.m. November 25, someone broke the window of a car in the 5700 block of Five Star Boulevard and stole a guitar and laptop computer.

 

 

Police Beat 6 
West Roseville

Woodcreek, thefts: Between 11:45 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. November 27, someone stole a cell phone from a backpack in the gym at Woodcreek High School, while the owner was playing basketball. Between 2 and 5:45 p.m. November 30, someone stole two cell phones from the locker room at Woodcreek High School during a basketball game.

Junction West, thefts from unlocked vehicles, arrests made: At 11:24 p.m. December 2, officers responded to an alert citizen's report of a theft in progress in the area of Casterbridge Drive and Yeoman Drive. As officers arrived, they saw two males running away, and quickly detained them. Officers determined that the two had been going through the neighborhood, trying car doors and rummaging through unlocked vehicles. Stolen wallets were recovered and returned to victims. A 22-year-old male from Sacramento was arrested on suspicion of possessing stolen property, conspiracy and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. A 17-year-old male was also arrested.
