Merryhill School Could Get Approval for New Location, Plans to Expand

The Merryhill School plans to move to Orlando Avenue and add middle school classes.

A Roseville private school that failed to renew its lease this spring could soon have a new home.

The Roseville Planning Commission this week will discuss a permit for the Roseville Merryhill School to locate at 1115 Orlando Ave. In addition to moving to the new location, the pre- and elementary school also plans to add middle school classes.

Residents near the proposed school site haven't voiced any opposition, according to a Roseville city staff report.

The planning commission is proposing a number of conditions for the new site: the number of students would be capped at 270, school could only be in session from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and after-school activities would have to end at 10 p.m., and a drop-off and pick-up traffic plan would have to be followed.

The school says on its website that the new location will open this August.
