Business News: 2H at Bunz & Co to Reopen, New FedEx Center, More

A quick look at Roseville business news including the re-launch of a "staple" in the Roseville area.

In this month's roundup of business news, we have news of Federal Express increasing its foothold in Roseville with a new distribution center, Bunz is back —now formerly 2H (2nd Half) @ Bunz & Co., Grantie Pointe Eye Care is relocating and more, according to the City of Roseville's latest business newsletter.

Here’s a look at businesses news in Roseville:

FedEx Express: The global shipping company has submitted planning entitlements for a new 200,000-square-foot ground distribution center. The building will be located in the Roseville Corporate Center at 8501 Foothills Blvd. Entitlements include a Design Review permit and Lot Line adjustment for the roughly 30 acre site.

2H at Bunz & Co: Bunz returns, this time as 2H (2nd Half) @ Bunz & Company, located at 311 Judah Street. According to the business newsletter, a group of friends have teamed up to re-launch the business in the area.

Summit Funding Inc.: The lender is is processing building tenant improvement plans for a 6,277 square-foot office at 2260 Douglas Blvd. Summit cites its goal as to "provide its customers with the lending power of a national mortgage bank with the personal attention and service received from a local lender."

Granite Pointe Eye Care: The ophthamology business is moving to 9221 Sierra College Blvd., S-130 in the Granite Bay Pavillions center. Dr. John M. Okamoto, O.D. has been practicing in the Roseville area for the past 17 years with a private ophthalmology corporation and started Granite Pointe Eye Care in 2003. He evaluates patients with difficult to fit contact lenses, in addition to various ocular diseases.

Angius and Terry, LLP: The attorneys firm is looking to secure approval for improvements to a 3,577 square-foot office at 3001 Lava Ridge Ct., S-130.  Angius & Terry, LLP has specialized in Community Association law, including construction defect litigation, for more than a quarter century.

Santillan Jewelers: The Martin Santillan (formerly with Kenny G. & Co.) company will be opening a fine jewelry store at 1232 Galleria Blvd. in the Creekside Ridge Retail Center, S-130. A current tenant improvement building permit for a 2,498 square-foot tenant space has been issued.

Lennar Homes: The property management firm is currently seeking subdivision improvement plans and final maps for two parcels (W-22 and W-25) in the Westpark development. W-22 will provide 36 detached, zero lot-line residential parcels, and W-25 will provide 72 medium density lots.

Medifast: Medifast has applied for permits to establish a customer service center at 1677 Eureka Rd., S-100. The 3.405 square foot office will offer client consultations and sell weight loss products.
