Merryhill Preschool on Baseline Road to Close

Merryhill Preschool on Baseline Road in Roseville will close Friday, March 15. 

In a letter to parents, Principal Amber Saavedra announced its closing due to their inability to reach an agreement on a lease renewal for the location. 

Merryhill Preschool of Roseville is located at 1370 Baseline Road and was voted the second favorite Roseville preschool by parents in a Roseville Patch readers' choice poll. 

Saavedra said in the letter that they're looking at a new location nearby and may open by fall 2013.

Dear Parents,

Over the last 24 years, Merryhill Preschool of Roseville has proudly provided loving care and an educational foundation for thousands of children.

It is with great sadness that we inform you that we have been unable to come to an agreement on lease renewal for this location. After numerous conversations with the landlord, we have determined that this is an unavoidable decision. Our attempts to obtain a lease extension through the end of the year were rejected, and thus our last day of operation will be March 15th.

We have identified a site for a new Merryhill Preschool which is very close to our current location. We have an agreement in principle with the landlord, and our goal is to open the new location by fall 2013. In the meantime, we sincerely regret the impact that this transition will have on our current and future families.
