Readers' Choice Poll: Roseville Preschools

Tell us why the preschool you chose is the right fit for your child through a poll vote, rating and review.

It's one of the early formal choices that parents make that involves education and separation from a child for regular, extended periods of time: Preschool.

In our fourth week of , we're giving Roseville parents an opportunity to talk about preschools.

We understand that practical considerations of availability, money and location figure largely into decisions about which preschool parents choose for their children.

Since so much careful research — in person, online and through word of mouth — goes into the preschool decision, we want to poll our Roseville Patch parents not just on which preschool they feel is the right fit for their child, but also why.

Below is a list of preschools we have registered in our continuously updated Roseville Patch Places directory. Click on any of them to get to a page dedicated to that preschool and to rate and review it.

Please also tell us in the comment section below which preschools are missing from the list and why you chose for your child to attend — we'll add them to the poll and create a new Patch Places listing for them. If you're a preschool operator who doesn't see your listing on Roseville Patch, email me at lauren.gibbs@patch.com or if you want to .

Voting ends at 9 a.m. Friday. We'll post the winner on Friday, based on your responses. Don't forget to leave a review in our directory, Patch Places, by clicking on the preschool's name; reviews count extra in the tallying.

Now, without further ado, the preschools:

Laugh and Learn Preschool
Angels Nest Child Care & Preschool

Note: This poll is not scientific, and is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined based on poll results, comments on this page and on ratings and reviews on Patch Places. Hint: The ratings and reviews count extra.

Laugh and Learn Preschool

My daughter went to Laugh and Learn preschool for two years. She loved the home environment and the quality individual attention she received from each of her two teachers. Not only did they provide a warm and caring environment they thoroughly prepared her for Kindergarten.

Merryhill Preschool is EXCELLENT! My two boys love it there. The staff, teachers, Vice Principal and Principal are all wonderful! I would recommend this school to anyone looking for the perfect place, people and atmosphere to help raise your children the right way. My kids love going to school and I am amazed daily by what they've learned.

MerryHill ROCKS!! I am A PreSchool/Infant teacher /Cook for MerryHill PreSchool on Baseline Road. Our teachers, and Principle are the Best!!! But, what is really and truely the BEST, are our children and mostly our Parents!!! We have several events through out the the year and we are amazed each year at the turnout that shows up. Not only do the parent participate but their Grandma's, Papa's, Cousin's ,Aunties and Friends show support for our school!!!!

Nataly at Angels Nest Preschool and Daycare is where my daughter goes, she loves it! She is challenged daily with; circle time, crafts and projects, songs and dance, letters and numbers, manners and social interaction. On top of that Nataly takes her Angels on all types of field trips and play outings, she really loves all the kids! Angels Nest is like an extended family is caring for your child because of Nataly's devotion.

All the teachers at Granite Bay Montessori are wonderful. My son is 3 1/2 and he loves the environment. It is so calm in comparison to other preschools we visited. The children learn responsibility and independence, but they also have so much fun! My son loves letter of the week! Miss Jennifer and Miss Shanae are both so caring and patient. The assistant teachers are all great with the children. We love Granite Bay Montessori!

My daughter attends Merryhill Preschool on Baseline and I LOVE this school! When we first arrived to take a tour of the school several parents offered that they were all very pleased with the quality of care and recommended it highly, without us even asking. By the second week of her attending EVERY teacher knew her by name. I'm amazed everyday at what she's learning! The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and the principal's communication with parents is quick and constant. Merryhill offers quality instruction but also piece of mind that my child is in the best possible care.

My infant attends daycare at Merryhill on Baseline and the staff is excellent! They were very supportive when I had to leave my baby in daycare for the first time after a lengthy maternity leave. They assured me I could call or email them as many times a day as I wanted and they meant it! They emailed daily photos throughout those difficult weeks of separation and made our transition easier. The place is safe and secure, you need a code to get in. If you stop by for a tour you will see how happy the kids are and how much they enjoy the principals and their teachers.

Merryhill is amazing. We go to the Merryhill on Baseline and we love it! The teachers, principle (Ms Amber), vice principle, and cook are awesome. We are so lucky we are at Merryhill... all the activities they have to the kids and family are truly amazing. My kids love going to school. We are extremely happy with everything about this school.

My 14 month old has been going to Merryhill since she was 4 months old. Both my husband and I were SUPER picky, and we loved Merryhill for many reasons: the caregivers truly LOVE caring for the babies and kids -- one can tell that it's so much more than a job to them. The learning curriculum was impressive, as they begin teaching children at the infant stage. The "extras" are amazing, from the daily menus, to the occasional petting zoo that is brought in, to the dance lessons that are offered for children ages 3 and up. There was also a Spaghetti Feed & Photos with Santa back in the Fall. On a monthly basis, I'm given photos of my baby showing the various projects that she got to participate in. Merryhill has given a nervous mama much peace of mind about leaving her on a daily basis so that I could work. I will happily provide any reference for another parent to consider Merryhill PreSchool. As another parent said "Merryhill rocks!!!".

My daughter has been attending Merryhill for two years and I feel like this school and teachers are an extension of my family. All the teachers (even in other grade levels) know my daughters name. The curriculum is outstanding! Merryhill is the perfect balance between fun education and play time. I wouldn't take my daughter anywhere else!

My daughter (two years old at the time), was the very first one miss Nataly took care of when she first opened up her Child Care & Preschool . As a parent, I was worried to let someone else take care of my child. But I knew that my daughter is in great hands...she enjoys being there so much that she just want to stay there longer. I know that my daughter is ready for kindergarten as miss Nataly, miss Christy and miss Adrena helped and prepared each and everyone of them. Thank you, Angel's Nest!

My 3 year old grandson goes to Merryhill in Roseville and I am amazed at the changes I have seen in his language skills. He is learning so many new words and concepts. He held an entire conversation with me the other day about hibernation. The staff at Merryhill is wonderful and they make us feel like one big family! I would like to thank them for taking such good care of my grandson and providing him with a wonderful education at the same time!

Merryhill preschool is amazing. Not only does it house a caring and nurturing staff, but they are excellent teachers at each level. After 6 years of my children attending, my family has been truly thankful for their guidance and determination in doing what's best for our children. What an experience! Thank you merryhill!!

I had to put my son into school at Merryhill at 9 weeks and was super nervous about doing so because he was so young. However, after only a couple of days it felt like we had been going there forever. The teachers and staff are so amazing and made me feel so great about my decision. On the first day, they sent me a picture of him and told me how his day had been going, including how much milk he had drank already. It is this attention to detail and understanding of how new moms feel that immediately made me know I had made the best decision for my little one and for myself. Also, once you meet Ms. Lala, you know your child is in good hands :)
