Roseville High School has two early challenges in this year's Division II boys basketball playoffs.
The team, a No. 15 seed, does not get a first-week bye like some others do, and has its first matchup at 7 p.m. Friday against No. 18 El Camino at home. If it advances to the next round, it will face No. 2 St. Mary's.
Roseville is 20-7 overall this year, and 5-5 in league play, according to MaxPreps.
The last time the Tigers made the playoffs was in the 2005-06 season, where the team fell in the first round to Turlock.
Other local teams appearing in the playoffs this year include:
Granite Bay: The boys team has the No. 5 seed in the Division I playoffs, and will face No. 12 Bethel at home at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
Rocklin: The boys and girls teams are both ranked No. 7 in their respective Division II playoffs. The girls face No. 10 Del Campo at home on Tuesday, while the boys face No. 10 Laguna Creek at home on Wednesday.
