Auburn, California – Two sisters who were abandoned by their parents at an orphanage in 1948 finally were reunited.

KCRA reported that Karen and Anne Simpton were able to reconnect over Facebook and began talking over the phone.

"I always wanted a sister to dress up with, to play tea parties with. I never had one," Karen told the TV station.

Karen and Anne were among five children left at the Portland, Oregon orphanage. KCRA reported that the family is planning a long overdue reunion.
